Five Pointed Vajra and Bell

Five Pointed Vajra and Bell
This five point Vajra (Dorje in Tibetan) and bell are intricately decorated with an antique appearance. Vajra means diamond in Sanskrit; and is a symbol of spiritual power. The five points on the Vajra represent the five Buddhas of the five Buddha families.

The bell is the mandala of Prajnaparamita, the Great Mother, she from whom all reality comes forth. The bell's sound invites or attracts deities and keeps away negative forces. The ringing of the bell can be a reminder of the emptiness of phenomena or bring the mind into greater awareness. As a musical instrument, its sound can be an offering to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

The Vajra and bell may be displayed on a meditator's shrine, as home decor, or used in various rituals.
