This miniature statue -- 1⅛" long -- shows the Buddha in this "Lion Posture," reminding us that we can be mindful at all times.

The Lion Posture is also how the Buddha chose to arrange his body at his death, or Parinirvana (Pali, Parinibbana), as he met the end with supreme serenity and with full mindfulness.
