Buddhists use assorted statues and images of bodhisattvas as a way to reflect on enlightenment. Each of the deities represents different aspects of the Buddha and his teachings. They are used as an aid for meditation or function as a protection. Each figurine has been finely crafted from Turquoise powder and finished with black antiquing.
Amoghasidhi's presence dispels terror and fear, bringing peace and calm. He is believed to alter negative feeling into the positive wisdom of accomplishment. He is considered the master of spiritual understanding of unfailing success. He is one of the 5 Dhyani Buddhas who each represent a different aspect of the enlightened consciousness.
Amoghasiddhi holds his right hand in the abhaya mudra, or gesture of fearlessness, while his left hand rests on his lap. In this rendition the left hand bears a begging bowl, symbolizing complete openness and receptivity.
